A Day of Triumph: Joint Grading Event with Wexford TKD and Murrintown TKD!

What a fantastic day we had on 21/07/2024 at the Murrintown Community Centre, where Wexford Taekwon-Do and our sister club in Murrintown came together for a joint grading event. It was a day filled with excitement, a few nerves, and immense pride from all the instructors as 22 students stepped up to show their skills and dedication. From our youngest members to our seasoned practitioners, everyone brought their A-game. The atmosphere was electric, with students ranging from those aiming for their yellow tags all the way to those reaching for their black tags

Special Moments to Remember

This grading session was particularly special for Mr. Barry as his own daughter stepped onto the mats for her first grading. It was a heartwarming moment that added a personal touch to the day’s events. Similarly, Mr. Furlong couldn’t contain his pride as both his daughter and son achieved their green belts, marking a significant milestone in their Taekwon-Do journey.

Another memorable highlight was Kayla F’s first-ever breaking attempt, which she accomplished successfully. The sight of a large group of beginner members grading for their yellow tags was inspiring, as was the moment Mary and Ger received their black tags, signifying their dedication and hard work. The father and son duo, Colin and Cathal, grading together on the same day was a beautiful example of family support and commitment to Taekwon-Do.
